Stuffed Burger – 3 recipes you won't be able to resist

 Stuffed Burger

Burgers are not only popular in the USA but also in Germany. Especially during the grilling season, alongside steaks, ribs & co., burger patties are a favorite on the grill. In this post, we'd like to introduce you to three very special recipes: stuffed burgers in various variations. One of our recipes even made it onto television on Kabel 1.

However, before we dive into the delicious stuffed burger recipes, let's first clarify what a stuffed burger actually is. With the "classic" burger that most of us know, the different ingredients are stacked on top of each other. With a stuffed burger, it's similar, but the difference is that additional ingredients are incorporated into the meat. For instance, cheese is placed in the middle of the burger patty, so the cheese is completely enclosed by the meat. The result after grilling? A juicy piece of meat with a deliciously creamy cheese core. With a stuffed burger, the focus is on the filling of the burger patty. Your imagination has no limits here. Now, let us present to you three irresistible stuffed burger recipes that will undoubtedly make your mouth water.

Stuffed Burger – Avocado with Spicy Mayonnaise

For two delicious stuffed burgers filled with avocado and spicy mayonnaise, you'll need the following ingredients:

  • 500g lean ground beef
  • 3 spring onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 2 burger buns
  • Iceberg lettuce
  • Sriracha Aioli
  • Country Ketchup
  • Salt & Pepper

In the first step, finely chop the spring onions, garlic cloves, and parsley. Cut the avocado into medium-sized cubes and mix them with two generous tablespoons of Sriracha Aioli and the previously chopped ingredients. This creamy mixture forms the heart of the stuffed burger. Using a stuffed burger press, you can now shape two equally sized patties from the ground beef and place the avocado-mayonnaise mixture in the center of the meat so that it is completely enclosed by the burger patty.
The finished burger patties are now grilled at medium to high heat for about 4-6 minutes per side. About 2 minutes before the burger patties are done, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty, allowing the cheese some time to melt onto the patty.
In the meantime – while the meat is on the grill – you can prepare the burger buns and the lettuce. Take the burger buns and place a large lettuce leaf on the bottom half of the bun. This acts as a shield and prevents the bun from soaking up meat juices or sauces later. On the lettuce leaf, add a dollop of country ketchup. On top of this, place the grilled stuffed burger patty with cheese and season it with a bit of salt and pepper. If desired, you can also add a dollop of Sriracha Aioli here. Finally, place the upper half of the bun on top of your stuffed burger – you're done! We wish you a good appetite!

Stuffed Burger Recipe – Mozzarella, Tomatoes, and Basil

For two Stuffed Burgers "Caprese", you'll need the following ingredients:

First, pan-fry the bacon cubes until they become crispy and acquire a slightly smoky flavor. Next, cut the mozzarella and cherry tomatoes into small pieces. Using the stuffed burger press, shape your stuffed burger patty from the ground beef, pan-fried bacon cubes, mozzarella and tomato pieces, and finely chopped (alternatively, you can tear them into small pieces) basil leaves. This way, the mozzarella, bacon cubes, tomato pieces, and basil leaves are completely surrounded by the meat. Grill the burger patties at medium to high heat for about 5 minutes per side.
When your burger patties are done, you can start assembling the Stuffed Burger "Caprese". Place some lambs lettuce on the bottom half of the bun. Ensure you wash the lettuce well beforehand as it can be a bit sandy. On top of the lettuce, add a bit of country ketchup. Place the finished stuffed burger patty on top and season it with some steak seasoning spice. Next, add a dollop of farmhouse mayonnaise on the burger patty. You don't need additional cheese at this point since it's already inside the stuffed burger patty. Finally, place the upper half of the bun on the burger, and you're ready to enjoy your Stuffed Burger "Caprese" – bon appétit!

Patrick Ryan's Stuffed Burger – A Genuine Insider Tip

For the Stuffed Burger by Patrick, which even made it to the "Abenteuer Leben" magazine on Kabel 1, you'll need the following ingredients (for two servings):

First, focus on the Stuffed Burger Patty. For each burger, take 100g beef and 100g bacon, pass it through a meat grinder, and mix it by hand once more until well combined. In the next step, prepare the burger filling. For this, take 50g cheddar cheese and mix it with finely chopped jalapeno pieces. Now, put the meat and the cheese-jalapeno filling into the stuffed burger press, ensuring the filling is completely enclosed by the meat.
Cut the tomato and onion into slightly thicker slices, and briefly grill them for a unique roasted flavor. Then, spread a bit of butter on the buns and also place them on the grill for a short while. Once the buns and the grilled tomato and onion slices are ready, you can grill the Stuffed Burger Patty on both sides.
In the final step, the delicious Stuffed Burger just needs to be assembled. Take the grilled bottom half of the bun and place some arugula on it. Next, add a generous dollop of Habanero Mango Aioli onto the arugula. Now place the stuffed burger patty on it and season it with a bit of Bourbon Smoked Sea Salt. Add some Country Ketchup to the meat and place the grilled tomato and onion slices on top. Finally, put the upper half of the bun on the burger. We wish you a good appetite – or as Patrick would say, "Enjoy!"
