Milk Paint (Old Fashioned Milk Paint)
Old Fashioned Milk Paint in 32 Vibrant Colors.
For thousands of years, paints have been made from soil and other pigments. Milk Paint (also shaker paint) is made today the old fashioned way using casein. The paint comes as a powder which is mixed with water in a 1:1 ratio. Using more water creates a more transparent color.
Conservators, carpenters, and hobby enthusiasts all over the world love the wonderful, vintage colors of Milk Paint which allow you to easily create a unique shabby-chic look, for example. Moreover, by mixing the individual colors, including Snow White, countless tones and shades can be created. In addition, people who suffer from allergies especially appreciate this natural, biodegradable paint.
Be sure to mix only the amount of paint powder necessary with water to create the amount of paint needed. Once mixed, the paint is only good for two days. However, the paint powder which is not mixed can be kept and used for years.
One pack of Milk Paint contains 1 Pint, or 170 g of powder. This yields a normal mixture of ca. 0.5 liters of paint which covers an area of approximately 3 m².
