Did you know that the world-famous slogan "I love New York," invented in the 1970s, is both the slogan and the name of the marketing campaign of New York State and New York City in particular? Because the Big Apple had a rather bad reputation at the time due to violent and drug-related crime, the city decided to launch a broad image campaign.

Incidentally, the world-famous "I love New York" logo seen on this baseball was designed by graphic designer Milton Glaser during a cab ride in 1975 as part of the above campaign. By the way, since the designer did not believe in the success of the campaign, he did not take any fee for the development of the logo.
